I bought this to add to my hurricane preparedness collection however 1 week after I bought it, my main AC broke, for 36 hrs. I placed this unit in our central main open space, plus the master bedroom and a guest room were left open, it was vented outside my sliding glass door, with two floor fans on low, knowing it was way too large of a space but having older rescue dogs, we did it anyway. We were able to maintain a comfy. temp of 78, I was amazed, dumfounded! It ended up running for almost 32 hrs, no problem. I was not expecting this to be such a good product and now that I can depend on it, I can worriless, it is nice to be able to trust as a solid back up option. I ran it for the whole 32 hrs, temp inside was maintained at a cool 78, with two fans to help circulation. It is not the quietest but not annoying. I woke up many times, during that first night to check the unit, thinking it was too good to be true, but it did not let me down. I keep it in my kitchen area, using the strong fan option on occasion, when I am cooking, baking or working on a project, and can flip it on AC if If I choose to. Guys I have this portable air conditioner for about 2 years and never never have a issues with it this is 12,000 btu and 7,800 sacc but is more better than my whynter that is 14,000 btu ,why you say a 12,000 btu is better than 14,000 btu??? Well my shinco 12,000 flow more cold air than the whynter that is 14,000 btu i don't know why but for me the Shinco 12,000 btu is the winner, my whynter 14,000 btu never stop running and not that cold air flow ,and compared to my Shinco that is only 12,000 btu the Shico flow more cold air right away on the first start so my 5 star for this machine because to me is a truly a winner 🏆 thanks Amazon store and Shinco Co.

A/C works fine. It is quite loud and the fan is fierce. I wish I could lower the fan speed more.Using it in Louisiana summer because my wall unit went out and I'm waiting for central A/C to be installed.I would not use this as a permanent solution. The window kit does not close off as well as with a window unit. We have heavy thunderstorms here and it is hard to keep the rain out. The exhaust hose is more flexible and longer than an other portable A/C unit that I tried out which is good. Still, be aware that you need to keep this unit very close to the window.I have been using it in the Dry Mode only which keeps my room very cool. Do be mindful to empty the water tank every few days. I did not at first and thought I would get an error code if the tank was full. That never happened but the unit kept switching on and off and finally just shut down. Emptying the tank is a bit clumsy. The hose that came with it does not fit and the drain is all the way to the bottom. I put a thick towel under it and then open the drain. This works well, but again, not nice for a permanent solution.Price is good.

Received in three days. Seems to blow colder and harder than any of my previous window units. The exhaust hose is sturdier than my previous portable unit. It also came with the window and unit connectors already attached to the exhaust hose ends. On my last unit it was a real pain attaching the connectors to the exhaust hose ends, and they easily became detached if you weren't careful. That was the most time-consuming part of the installation with the old unit, so these being pre-attached was a pleasant surprise. So far this unit has exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend.

So the AC itself works ok. Easy set up if you know the dimensions of the window area you are going to set it up to. A bit of a tip for this AC is to put it a bit higher than just on the floor so the draining system on the back part can fully work. This order was delayed during shipment and the box it was shipped on looked like it was beaten up and had a sizable puncture hole when you can see the AC through. This shipment was also missing the remote control and the owner’s manual. I have reached out to the manufacturer 3+ times leaving order info and what the situation was. I have yet to get even an acknowledgment that theyreceived my message or an explanation and resolution to the problem. At this point I really needed to keep the AC because of a variable of reasons ie. funding, current hot weather and re-order time. It wasn’t the product it self that led me to give them a low rating; but the lack of response and resolution from the manufacturer. So take this with some consideration to really compare with other portable AC out there.

So far so good. The only thing is the cool setting doesn’t turn on and I think it’s because it’s not hot enough yet. It hasn’t reached high temps yet to fully see how well it works. The standard shipping took less than 24 hours. The machine looks great, a little smaller than expected. Wasn’t to heavy and can be easily moved around. Installation was super easy. Happy with the purchase so far.UPDATE: Been almost a month using this unit for an apartment master bedroom. Have had no issues and it cools the room well. It is a bit noisy but having the room cool during hot weather makes it totally worth it. Happy with the unit and would recommend. When I read other reviews, seeing other units leak or are super loud, maybe they got bad ones or damaged in transit.

Incredible AC Unit! I only have to say great things about it. Came in perfect packaging and super easy to install. it was a perfect AC for my living room and right away as I turned on I could feel it already cooling the whole space. super durable and prefect size. The design was perfect and it blended great with my living room. I would definitely recommend it compared to other brands like LG or Toshiba.
