This stuff is great. I'm an Abraham Lincoln presenter, and when I started, I used "Just for Men" hair dye on my beard. One of the other presenters that I met told me about BlackBeard and it has been a game changer. I don't have the worry and stress of dying it, getting it washed out correctly, taking a shower right afterwards, etc. This stuff goes on without much hassle and comes out easily. It stays in for several hours. It's a great project. At my last show, a teenager who was helping with the crew asked me how I'd changed my beard color so fast!

I have been using this product for several months now and am very happy with it. I have vitiligo (white spots) on my face where my facial hair comes in white. This does a great job of covering it up, and is fast/easy to apply. Just make sure the hair is completely dry first. The product does make your beard feel different (not as soft) and does have a matte sheen, but chances are that you will be the only one who notices. Putting beard balm in after using this product will cause the color to wipe off onto anything it touches, so be warned. But it seems to hold up well to a bit of rain.If I accidentally get any on my skin, it seems to wipe off easily. But it does stain clothing. When I wear dress shirts, I will sometimes see where the product has rubbed off and stained the top of the collar (a spray and wash stick will help that). If I am wearing a tie and need to button the top button, I make sure to put the product on after my tie is on to avoid any accidental rubbing off on the collar. It sometimes comes out gloopy from the bottle, I usually just wipe off the applicator with a tissue. One bottle seems to last me 6-8 weeks for my goatee and mustache, but your mileage will vary. Overall I think it is a good option for anyone allergic to hair dye or just needs a little touch up.

It looks amazing at first but then gradually flakes off in tiny specs. If you are wearing a white shirt it will literally look like little tiny brown dust on your shirt. For a quick fix it is great but dying is really the way to go

I've been using this product for years as it's the only thing I can use on my beard without irritating my face. I had to stop using dyes years ago due to red, itchy skin and sometimes minor chemical burns. Once you figure out how to brush this on correctly it blends in really well. My only complaint is that it can rub off overnight on your pillowcase. I wish they could find a way to make it a bit more permanent.

I rarely write reviews, but this product is so horrible. I don’t understand how anyone could give this a decent rating. Regular beard dye is far superior to this. As I understand this product, the point is to color your beard without dying your skin. But the applicator gets coloring on your skin no matter how careful I am. It looks worse than any traditional beard dye I have tried. This is an honest review: this product is horrible and a waste of money. At least with traditional beard dye you can wash you skin and the color remains on the beard. This is basically like taking a marker to your face. I have tried to get it right 4 times and even had my friend who is a professional hair stylist try to apply it. This is an absolute joke of a product. It’s like clown make-up. If you’re going to try to do something like this, maybe it would be better to use actual mascara from a decent make up line and apply that to your beard. For me, I am going back to regular, permanent beard dye since that can at least be washed off the skin. Don’t give these people your money. This product is thick, inky, and looks horrible on my short beard.

Easy to apply. No burning or itching. Looks great and very affordable.

It works but it isn't anything other than dark colored glue.
