I'm a huge fan of this lantern. I'd wanted one for a while for camping and this one didn't disappoint. very cheap, I brought some oil and spare wicks at the same time. so far I've had it on for about 12 hours so felt happy to leave a review. it's a bit hard to get the glass cover back in place after you light the wick but you soon get the knack, the wick adjustment for the flame is very self explanatory and the oil lasts for ages. one thing is for obvious reasons keep it upright or the oil will leak out. the wick seems to be lasting very well, I think the description said about 20 hours which seems about right from what I can see, might be able to last a bit longer if your lucky. When the oil starts running low the flame becomes erratic so that's your sign to extinguish the wick and refill the oil. I got a black one, and it looks the business. The light it emits is very ambient. the body is strong but not invincible as obviously there's glass and moving parts so care must be taken. if you like oil lanterns, this might be for you.

I bought a Chinese one before this one and the difference in quality is night and day. This is a great product that will withstand the test of time. The Germans know how to make things, plus eco friendly packaging.

Great lights works well but do not fill to neck keep a little lower . Gives of a great light well pleased

Very pleased with my black lantern. Very good quality and beautiful - some of our friends have said they would buy it too. Have used it indoors & outdoors.

This little lantern is a bit tricky to light, but once you do, it makes a cute little candle. It does produce some warmth, and even warms up a small room the same way a candle would; however, it does not produce light. Put it in a dark room, and even with the wick fully extended and blazing away, you almost wouldn't know it's there. I'm keeping it for a decoration, though I had hoped for a bit of light.

Good quality sturdy lamp. Not used for very long yet but all seems in order.
