Works very well for a deep clean
I use this after a few range days on some ARs that receive light cleaning and oiling between events. This stuff is the big guns, no pun intended. It does a deeper clean than any "CLP" oil-type product that I've used. This stuff has a very strong odor, though, and will take your breath away if you use it in a place without good ventilation.I recommend putting some on a patch and swabbing the barrel with it for a good coating, then let it sit for a few minutes before hitting it with a nylon brush and more patches. I follow it up with some more patches, then a pure cleaner, then a pure oil. I found that running an oil-type CLP after this stuff kind of mixes the two and leaves a gunk behind. Cleaning with this, then stripping it out, then oiling seems to work well for me.

I like that it stays where you put it.
Like many I have a whole shelf full of gun cleaning products. Many have not been touched in years. So far this one is being used and it may well become one of my favorites. I like it for cleaning revolvers. I shoot cast bullets with wax lube which makes a mess. I like that I can apply this product, let it sit, and then come wipe it off. It does a good job of cleaning even the nooks and crannies on my revolvers. The smell is definitely not offensive. I also like that this is made by a veteran owned company.Give it a try.

Cleans well without the stink and hazards
I tested this out on my stainless revolver, as it always gets powder residue everywhere. The revolver was previously cleaned, and I didn't get much more residue off except in some crevices. Then I decided to leave it on longer - it doesn't run like other cleaners, so is easy to apply and leave on. I put on a thin coat and had a coffee for ten minutes - I should mention that my hands didn't stink from the cleaner when I had my coffee like other cleaners. This time I gave it a light brushing, and did get noticeable gunk from the forcing cone and front of the cylinder - which surprised me since I thought I had done a good job with the other cleaner. After my next range trip I will clean it with this first, then try my old cleaner to see if I get the same results. At this point I can say it really does work without the smell; just give it a little more time to work.

very thick grease
This stuff is the thickest gun cleaner i have used compared to other products so I'm a bit skeptical. The waxy paste is thicker than Vaseline and reminds me of a thick leather salve/ boot polish wax consistency; so it does need to be in a warmer temp or on a windowsill to warm up for it to not be as thick or use friction to make it oily. I used it on a snake bore, patches, and cotton swabs and seems to do a good job in getting rid of the carbon and lead; though it does leave a thicker greasy, glossy residue so I'm a bit concerned about the thicker film attracting more dust, carbon, and lead when shooting but as a storage protectant for the bore or daily ccw protectant it would work well.
