Tastes quite good! Mixes reasonably well. Has a very impressive list of ingredients.
The media could not be loaded. Tastes surprisingly good, honestly. It met with both mine and my husband's approval. I rather expected it to have an offbrand flavor, but chocolate is one of those things that just works. It's definitely on a par with the Big Brand instant breakfast that rhymes with nation. We all have individual tastes, and children even more so, but I really can't imagine too many children having trouble with the flavor. Note, however, that it is hardly sugar-free. It's got 15 g of added sugars, so do note that if that's important to you.It doesn't mix quite as well as the Big Brand, although the difference is mild. If you use the full scoop you do end up with a few small little clumpies. (I took a video so you could see what I mean by small. I'm not talking great big bits.) The included scoop is supposed to be for 8 ounces of milk; the pictures are using 12 ounces. So on the plus side you can easily use less than a full scoop, although obviously you'll get fewer of the vitamins. Now, it's for kids, so the vitamin content isn't that strong in the first place. If you are an adult it's not going to be enough to completely replace your multivitamin. Please see picture of the label. But it's enough to get you started, and youcould always have a couple of glasses through the day. It does taste good.

Tasty and chock full of good stuff
Because I have tried many chocolate flavored protein shakes, and many taste chalky, I was kind of expecting this "now for kids" dietary supplement to taste similar. Surprisingly, it tastes quite good. It is best that you blend the chocolate flavored supplement in a personal blender to ensure it's sufficiently blended. It's not quite chocolate milk or hot cocoa (if you mix it with hot milk), but it does taste good. I can taste a hint of, how should I describe it, vitamins?? It's not bad and it's just a hint of it. On a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being the most delicious like chocolate milk, I would rate this 7 or 8.I ordered this for myself because some days, try as I might to eat healthfully, I am not just getting all the nutrients my body needs. This supplement contains an impressive blend of multiple vitamins and minerals. I deducted 1 star because it has no protein (5 grams is virtually nothing) and it contains fructose. I really wish they would have used stevia, monk fruit extract, xylitol, or any healthier alternative to fructose. Otherwise, a really great tasty product. Is it worth the high price? Maybe. Only if you take this on occasions as a supplement. I don't recommend it for daily intake.

Flavor is a bit Strange
After reading the ingredients list on the package, I was impressed enough order this product. I was not, however, happy with the flavor. The label says chocolate. The powder looks chocolate, but to us the flavor is closer to caramel or a variation of vanilla. The flavor is described as natural and artificial chocolate. Our guess is the artificial overwhelms the natural and not in a good way. Or, it may be the addition of stevia that didn't work for us. Stevia has never tasted good to us, and any sweetness it has diminishes immediately. The vitamin profile seems well thought out. There are a few readily available commercial additives ie. LunaRich soy powder and extract, Optizink, and Chrome mate. Those are easily enough feel researched. The powder dissolves readily in milk or water. The texture is smooth and has an okay mouth feel - neither thick nor thin. Of note, this is not a vegetarian product. It does contain fish (tuna.) That may also contribute to the odd flavor. At forty dollars per can, this is definitely not what we would call budget friendly, but it does have a very complete vitamin and mineral profile, and may be a good value for picky eaters.

Only 15 servings in the container, Tastes like very sweet chocolate milk. Wish it had more protein
I have a 13 year old daughter and an 11 year old. They both said this was very sweet. Neither one liked the bits in it. I tried to mix with a spoon, but I am thinking you may want to use a blender instead. I tasted it as well, and it reminds me of Nestle quick milk.I think if it wasn't my idea to drink this, they would totally drink this on their own lol. I like all the vitamins and minerals it contains, but I do wish it had more protein because 5g is like nothing. There is more protein in the milk you mix it with.

good flavor drink but expensive
I got this "RELIV Now for Kids Chocolate - Nutritional Shake with Essential Vitamins, Minerals, Carbohydrates & Protein for Lasting Energy" to try. This is a nutritional shake that is targeting kids, thus it has great taste. My father has an appetite issue after a surgery, so this nutritional shake comes in handy. It is easy to use, mix it with water to the instructed volume. Despite the good taste, this product is way too expensive for only 15 servings. I consider it a very poor value and thus would not recommend it.

Good Nutritional Supplement but Pricey for Daily Use
I bought this nutritional powder to help supplement my 7-year-old son's diet. His medications tend to suppress his appetite, causing him to eat less during meals and then feel hungry at bedtime. I wanted something to bridge that gap, and this seemed like a good option. My son seems to like it quite a bit. He drinks chocolate milk regularly, so I was concerned he might compare this to what he’s used to, but he didn’t mind the taste. The powder is very sweet, though. I might add a little more liquid next time to tone down the sweetness. While it’s definitely sweet, it lacks the strong chocolate flavor you’d expect. It’s there, but just not as bold as I anticipated. One positive is that it’s easy to mix. I used our portable nutrition blender, and it blended smoothly without any clumps. However, my biggest issue is the cost. At the current price of $43.70, it comes out to nearly three dollars per serving. That’s pretty expensive for an everyday supplement, and it’s not very sustainable for our household budget. I do think it’s a quality product, and my son enjoys it, but the high cost is hard to overlook.Overall, it’s a good supplement that my child likes, but the price makes it challenging to use regularly.
