The whole thing is well built, is not bulky, and will come in useful for years to come.
This does all it claims.I wanted a temporary stand for some photo's around the car, however, the suction cups clamp so securely I am tempted to leave the camera in video mode as I drive home and see what it records!!There are a couple of parts for other camera's (which I don't need at the moment) but have kept (as all men do) in case it comes in useful one day.I have a selfie stick with a tripod end. The tripod unscrews and then the selfie screws onto this and sits about 3' above the car roof. Exactly what I wanted and it works a treat. (I had a couple of issues with the wind blowing the tripod across the roof, this clamp has easily sorted that). The whole thing is well built, is not bulky, and will come in useful for years to come. It lives in the pocket behind the driver's seat and back-seat passengers don't even know it's there.

Broken and not good suction
The item arrived and first time i have went to use it i have realised one of the legs has a crack almost right through. The suction cups were disformed and ineffective. I would not purchase this product to hold anything expensive

good performing product does the job
when it first came 2 of the suction cups had kinks but I stuck it to my living room window overnight and that seemed to solve the issue when on the car it was rock solid and performed as expected even at 70MPH

Not consistent enough to be trusted
First the cons:Ignore the product description (above) that the suction cups must be dry - in my tests, they will not adhere firmly to any surface when completely dry - even glass. The suction cups - as correctly mentioned by others - are too hard to maintain their grip under load. The ball-head is not of the best quality and I would not trust it with anything larger than a GoPro or similar. It's difficult to adjust and tighten once the camera is in place. The pros:Although 100% plastic, the frame and legs feel robust. If you make sure that your surface is totally clean and moisten the suction cups, it will hold very securely. The last image here shows a 1.5kg club hammer on a metal garage door after 4 hours. One of the cups had lost suction during that time but the other two were still firmly fixed to the metal door.Image 1 shows a GoPro on glass - no amount of reasonable tugging would loosen the grip. Good result.I then tested with a proper ball-head and DSLR (about 1.3kg) on a flat area (pic 2) and on a curved part of my car (pic 3). Good result. In all cases, I moistened the cups before fixing - used dry, it would pull off at the slightest tug. Conclusion:It's certainly better than using a single cup mount as two suction cups will still do the job if the third cup fails.I would never ever mount my DSLR on this rig, it's just not good enough to trust - and to be fair they don't mention that in the blurb.I would however use it for my GoPro on squeaky clean flat surfaces and moistened suction cups. It's not an expensive item and absolutely fine for light-duty use - common sense will tell you not to trust it for heavier, more expensive kit :-)

Disappointed in every way.
I bought this without reading the reviews, big error. Tightening of the screws are poor quality which I could probably forgive on price however the fact that the suction cups are the key reason I bought this, it is also the key reason for its demise. They just do not function and a complete waste of money and time

Not a good experience
The plastic feels quite cheap, but ultimately seems to have enough strength to hold the designed low-weight action cameras.Unfortunately though, one of the suction cups did not stick at all, and the other two cups took a LOT of fiddling getting them to stick too. Unfortunately due to were the centre of gravity is on this item it means if just one cup doesn't stick them the whole unit would be wobbling.Ultimately, I was very dissatisfied with this item.

For what it's worth, this invokes higher degree of suction trust than OEM (e.g. GoPro)
This thing sucks!I mean literally, I put it inside of my car's windshield, and Canon 6D with 50mm Lense. It was not sketchy, it did not move aside from how much plastic pieces give in, even driving through bumpy streets with potholes n stuff. So I very much recommend to buy this, instead of OEM (GoPro, etc.).
