One that works, at last
This is a fourth trap I bought. This one works! The previous ones went back to Amazon. The doors at each end don’t spook the squirrel which enters thinking it can shoot out at the other end. The mechanism is sensitive but not too much. The doors drop and the first squirrel at least was not able to get out. The doors are heavy and they stay in place under their own weight. There is no gap at the bottom for the animal to prise them upwards and escape. Incredibly simple and effective. A previous trap of a different design worked until the squirrel uncoiled a retaining spring. I guess when your life depends on it you’re think fast and hard - and these little critters are ingenious. So much more satisfying when you outclever one.The trap had nice solid feel and has been powder coated in green - it should last long. It’s very easy to prime/set once you’ve worked out how. There are no instructions - it’s only fair you should have a certain IQ to catch these little Einsteins - but don’t be put off by it.Again, highly recommended. I’m considering buying another one.Now I need to think of a way of transporting the trap with an animal in it that will prevent my car smelling of squirrels. Be warned they stink!By the way I read somewhere releasing squirrels is illegal. Is it true?

Works really well caught 8 Grey Squirrels in 14 days
Arrived earlier than advised, well packed. No instructions on how to set trap but only took a couple of minutes to work it out, The little blighters were easily drawn into trap with peanut butter used as a glue to make a pile of peanuts. One of the bigger squirrels did mananged to bend one piece of the wire in a corner but easily put back so inspected trap every couple of hours. Would suggest it only be set up during daylight hours as if left overnight there could be a hedgehog trapped in the morning. Also caught a magpie which didn't appreciate being captive.Really good trap and no longer having lawn ruined with holes filled with acorns.July 2021 Now caught 28 squirrels and have not seen another for a number of weeks. Lent it to a friend and he caught 5 squirrels in 2 days. Pity it's not available at the moment and hope it will be back soon as other friends are hoping to order one of these super traps as soon as they're back in stock.

Robust product
After a mix up with delivery (package delivered to a property with a similar address), the product finally appeared. The seller agreed to refund delivery costs due to the delay, which I appreciated. The trap is robust and quite easy to set up, though there were no instructions. I have rated it four stars for robustness though have yet to catch the squirrel that has been sneaking into an outbuilding. The the bait has been taken so not sure whether the squirrel is resourceful or whether something too light to trigger the trap has been eating the bait.

LOOK NO FURTHER FOR A TOP SQUIRREL TRP...
This , compared with the many other traps on the market, is the business ! It is really well built with no fiddly springs and catches . It relies on weight and gravity to operate. It performs brilliantly and we have the video evidence to prove it ! At LAST - a top trap. Thank you !

Rabbits don't get caught
If I was looking for a way to feed rabbits then this does very well/s. Carefully positioned and bated, then wait. The rabbits have been enjoying a range of tasty treats and they happily hope in, eat and hop back out. If you like feeding rabbits then this is for you. If you want to catch any, then best avoided.

Gotcha ! You Little Blighter-Just Be Patient
The media could not be loaded. We’ve been having horrendous problems with squirrels burying walnuts not only throughout the garden but all over our lawn.Over the last year we have dug up over 100 walnut tree saplings, not only that but the lawn has been devastated by holes dug to bury said walnuts and it has caused havoc to the lawn.I saw this trap had a lot of very positive reviews and although expensive based on those reviews I thought I would take a punt.I initially tried the recommended bait of peanut butter and some bird seed and an odd bit of walnut.I put a brick on top just in case it was successful and didn't want the captive going mad and managing to possibly upturn the whole thing and escape. After two weeks of it sitting there on the grass… ‘nothing ‘ apart from the pesky squirrel burying his walnuts either side of the trap, grrrrr!I then had a light bulb moment and got some ripe walnuts from a nearby tree, I then wired them together with some coated wire. hung them on the inside of the trap level with the trip plate and waited.I was hoping Mr squirrel would come along and think “that’s handy”.Well within 2 1/2 hrs I had a prisoner in the cell! …..Brilliant.To keep it calm I covered the trap over with a blanket. I then took a trip in the car to a friend to dispatch it. (Unfortunately it is illegal to catch and release squirrels in the UK). They have to be humanely destroyed as they are classed as invasive vermin.I think I may possibly have a few more to catch. (not sure) , but now I found the right bait I’m confident it will work again.I would definitely recommend, but be patient and think about the best bait to use for the circumstances.

Brilliant. I caught my rat!
This live rat trap is very well made. We had a rat living under the kitchen cupboards for several weeks. I bought two other rat traps which it wouldn’t go near. The principle is different because it looks as if it can go right through but touching the flap in the middle causes both ends to close. I caught the rat after two days and let him go. It was a great relief.
