This product was just has ordered but only fits on basic vehicles.My daughter initially liked it but it didn't fit on a BMW.Unfortunately I had to return the item, no one likes to return items that are gifts but has I stated before it doesn't fit every vehicle.The seller instead of just putting my money back on my credit card sends the return back on a gift card which I haven't receive yet which is in very BAD interest to do, its now going on two weeks.Buyer BEWARE for sore sellers out there!!

I was curious and had to know, now I do. I have to say I am rather impressed by the sill guards. I sort of expected "chonky" strips with dubious magnetic capabilities. What arrived are quite svelte, do not actually look out of place, even on my car that has them OEM (I wouldn't and won't past that picture!!).Charging is done via the provided but short micro-USB cables with the ports in a corner on the thin side of the units. The power button is on the face of the unit. It is quite small and a little fiddly considering it's the only method of controlling color and flash pattern.About that, no instructions except what is printed on the box, and that is mostly advertising speak. A long press powers the light on and off. A quick press changes colors and I think...a semi-long press changes modes? Maybe a double click semi-long press? Beats me.Next to "The Button" is a photoreceptor cell. This is what detects if the door is open or shut. It is annoyingly close to "The Button" and you may think you turned it off while mode changing when in fact you just triggered the photo cell. Tricksy.Also on the box is advertised: Magnetic Adsorption (sic) (had to go down the rabbit hole on that one and it is not any clearer. It is a term for filtering liquids, but I see reviews for other tech items claiming the same.)They "Adhere" well to the surface metal and the door was able to shut without smashing the device, even in the awkward location that was all that was available to test on.The price is reasonable for what you get.

The media could not be loaded. Nice welcome lights have colors, but I haven't been able to get them to light up without blinking. I imagine there is some way to make them steady, but since the box doesn't come with an instruction manual, I can't know how to do it. I have a Mustang and unfortunately where they should be located there is a plastic piece that does not allow them to stick correctly so that they do not fall. I've put them on from the front and they don't look bad but lose the protection function it's the only way I've gotten them to work correctly. I still don't know the battery life because I just put them in. I'll do an update on how long the double box lasts for three months but I have my doubts.Update: after 2 days of usage one plate don’t hold the charge that’s why put 3 star

These sill plates are nice. I really like how they light up and they have seven different colors and one mode that goes through all the colors. They are highly visible at night and has strong magnets to keep them in place. They have micro usb ports to charge them and come with four charging cables. They look very good. My cons are the charge doesn't last very long. They have sensors on top that's supposed to turn them off when you close the doors but I can't really tell if they go off or not. And sometimes when you open the doors they don't come on and you have to hold the button to turn back on. Other than that they are good.

The media could not be loaded. These are a fun little addition that will work for most cars. You can cycle through different colors and the sensor will turn off/on automatically when you open the door. My particular model car didn't let me put them exactly where they are intended to be used, because there was no metal to attach to, but I pivoted to a nearby location and like the results. The magnetic side of the piece holds strong and doesn't interfere with closing and shutting the door.I've seen similar products before with specific car models logos shown, but I like that these are more generic.The box includes 2 front door longer lights and 2 shorter back door lights.The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it does feel a bit cheaply made and uses the older micro USB connection for charging. Perfectly usable, but room for improvement.

The media could not be loaded. I got these for my Model Y and these go well with my puddle lights. The installation is very easy it is a giant magnet so it sticks to the body and it is thin enough that it doesn't get caught on the door. The rears fit perfectly while the front fits but the stock Model Y door sill is a little larger but it is a black background so you barely notice it. I like how the lights can be one color or an RGB cycle effect which is how I have it set up. The light will turn on and off when the door opens because on the top of the light, there's a light sensor.

The installation is very easy it will stick right onto the door panel. All you need to do is charge it every few months and it will work just fine. The only issue that I have is on the right front pattern on the passenger side, it does not stick quite well. I got a replacement from them but it’s still having the same issue. I’m not sure if it is my door panel or the product itself. Other than that it works perfect.
