Reliable and easy-to-use automatic feeder — great peace of mind!
I’ve been using the PETLIBRO AIR automatic feeder for my cat for about a month now, and it’s been a total game-changer. The setup was quick — the app connected easily over 2.4G Wi-Fi, and I was able to schedule feedings within minutes. The feeder is quiet, accurate with portions, and works flawlessly whether plugged in or running on backup batteries. I love that it’s USB rechargeable and can run up to 30 days without power — perfect for travel or power outages. My cat adjusted to it right away, and now she waits patiently by it instead of waking me up early for food! The app also notifies me when the food is running low, which is super helpful. The design is sleek and compact, but it still holds enough food for several days. It's also easy to clean and refill.Highly recommend for anyone looking to automate feeding and ensure your pet is always cared for — even when you're not home.

Reliable automated dog feeder for larger dry dog food-gets the job done
Our dog keeps getting up earlier and earlier to be fed in the morning, and it was really disrupting our sleep. I had tried one of these machines in the past and returned it within 5 minutes because it couldn't connect to Wifi. When my sleep was so disrupted it was affecting my daily functioning, I decided it was time to find an automatic dog feeder that actually works. This one does.Thank you, Amazon, for offering a wide selection of items and having detailed reviews--which is why I'm writing one like this now, approximately after a month of usage. All of these automated feeders are Made in China (MIC) and around the same price point, so how do you differentiate? The biggest thing IMO is to NOT buy one that requires connection to WiFi. The 2.4 vs 5 GHz requirement is a deal-breaker in any household with wireless internet. I also don't need or care about a camera or app: the fewer moving parts, the more reliable. Next, food size capacity is critical. There is one moving part, and if it gets clogged, you're screwed. This brand specifically handles up to 15 mm diameter food, which is the size of my small/medium dog's dry food. So far, it has dispensed without any problems.Programming the feeding times and amounts is fairly straightforward. The directions are clear enough (see below). You can also program a voice 'call'; though the sound quality isn't great, it works. The unit has a fairly long extension cord or requires 3 D batteries (I used three old NiMH rechargeables whcih seem to work). The food storage bin holds at least one week's worth of food for our 25 pound dog. It has a lock on the top lid to prevent the dog from breaking in.The machine works very well so far. My dog, however, remains very confused and intimidated by it. Breaking her Pavlovian ritual of waking us up to be fed breakfast, or barking to be fed her second meal, has been much more difficult to do--but that's not the machine's fault!I give this 5 stars because it works as described, and reliably. I would really give 4.5 starts becauseseveral simple aspects could be readily improved (a common complaint for all things MIC): Make the icons visible on the buttons (they are almost invisible and require either a flashlight or looking at the instructions each time to figure out which buttons are which); write directions in non-broken English; and make the food bowl connection to the machine with metal rather than plastic, which can easily break. I don't need or care about WiFi connection, app or camera as described above, so those are actually positive omissions.

Reliable & Spill-proof - great for dieting cats!
Now that I've has this in use for a few weeks... This feeder has held up!I got this feeder to be able to feed my cat when I'm out of the house at feeding times. My cat has a Maine Coon (think the size of a small-medium dog), so he's big and has a lot of physical power for a cat. This feeder has held up and not let any food out when it wasn't supposed to, which was my primary concern since he's on a diet.Good stuff:- App setup is simple, but using 1/24s of food to measure took some trial and error before I was comfortable feeding the cat with the right amount of food. It's easy to set up timed feedings or to do a one-off immediate feed.- Food tower holds plenty of food. Since I am not using this for every meal every day, it takes a while to deplete.- Actually cat-proof. Despite his best efforts, no food as ever escaped from this feeder when it shouldn't. There are some possible issues if you have a larger cat, which I'll explain.- Battery charged fairly quickly and has been running for a few weeks so far. That's plenty of time between charges for me.Issues:- Because of my small-dog-sized cat, the feeder was being knocked entirely on its side. No food ever released when this happened, but I needed to set it back upright. To prevent this, I had to wedge the feeder between the fridge and a heavy object to keep it upright. This has worked since I set it up.- The feeding dish can be pulled away from the food tower. While this would not prevent feeding from happening, it Is annoying and food could get in places you don't want it to when it's released. I was able to put one piece of tape across the bottom plastic to hold them together, which still allows me to clean the main bowl. No issues with this since then.- Again, you will need to figure out exactly how many 24ths of cups of food correspond to what you feed, which takes a little time. But once you know, it's all set up.Overall I am impressed with the integrity of the feeder and it holding up despite the best efforts of my cat to cheat on his diet. I definitely recommend it, and with smaller cats I don't think the tipping issue would come up at all.
