These feel great in the hand, and the nylon tips sound great on cymbals. Would recommend.

Sound

Stick size weight and feel is very subjective but these were pretty comfortable for me. I use a vic firth SD10 swinger which are Maple like these (hickory too heavy for my taste) but thicker for comfortable grip. Still prefer the weight and diameter of the SD10s but would like the barrel tip of these. Very usable for trio work, not big band though.

Llevaba ya bastante tiempo buscando un par de baquetas para tocar jazz que se me acomode bien a las manos. He usado ya varios modelos de distintas marcas, incluida Vic Firth y hasta ahora siempre tenían cosas que me gustaban y cosas que no. Algunas eran muy pesadas, otras muy ligeras, otras tenían el peso ideal, pero eran muy delgadas o muy cortas. Ahora finalmente he encontrado un modelo que, en cuanto a tamaño, es muy similar a unas 5b, pero con un peso más ligero (ideal para el control de dinámicas) y la punta más redondeada que le termina dando buena definición al ride.

These sticks are thick, yet very light. They work great as jazz, funk, and other music styles which require precise movement; the smaller head makes this possible. When I was in marching band, requirements were easier to play with a thicker stick and the MJC4 allows me to transfer that rudimentary knowledge into a jazz format easily by maintaining the thickness but reducing the weight. I also appreciate the grip of the stick due to the softer wood choice.

Baguettes de longueur standard ayant la particularité d'être très bien équilibrées grâce au col de taille moyenne.Elles sont plus légères que la normale, env 84 grammes contre 104 à 124 gr pour des standards.Excellente jouabilité grâce à cette légèreté et l'équilibre qui permettent une dextérité de virtuose.Perso je les utilise avec une olive nylon, sur une batterie électronique, c'est très adapté, je les conseille.De même que pour des jeux de type "fin", "jazzy", je les conseille.Mais pour les batteurs jouant du Hard, mieux vaut cogner avec des type 2B ;-)
