It's small but hefty
I thought replaceable heads meant screwed in, they are pressed and glued in near as I can tell. The handle is really nicely made, the head is cast iron. The striking lugs are copper and aren't hardened, near as I can tell. They are sharp edged though, so they cut them and shoved them in.I took a file and quickly rounded off the striking face edge with a small chamfer. For a little English hammer with a Nordic name, it is great, very well balanced and it's firat job was fixing an Italian hammer.

Leave it to the Brits to produce a fine hammer!
I really wanted the Vaughan 580-08 C100 Copper Face Hammer for my leather work, (buy American), but since they sent me the wrong hammer I returned it and never heard from them about replacing the hammer with the correct one. (See review on Vaughan 580-08 C100 Copper Face Hammer. ) In the mean time this British hammer dropped in price and I ordered it. EXACTLY what I wanted! It is an extremely well made, solid piece of work. It has the right weight and the right handle .

The best hammer for auto mechanic.
I have a #3 Thor hammer I bought from a Mac truck 10 years ago. Best hammer for a mechanic IMO. I wanted a smaller version, so I ordered this one. It is a lot smaller than I thought, only about 8 inches long! I love it though and I use it all the time. I still need to order a bigger one though. I want to own every size Thor hammer.
