They are proprietary. Buy the fill kit with the fuel kegs.
Used these today for the first time. I think they worked great! Filling was easy and accurate, in use they work better than disposable bottles. The heater ran considerably better. Even flame and fuel flow. They are well engineered. Nice design and easy to use. Easy 5 stars!

Best investment for mini barbeque
excellent investment for anyone using 1kg fuel bottles. The build quality is solid, and the kit works flawlessly, allowing for quick and efficient refills without leaks. One of the best parts is the cost savings—refilling your own propane bottles is significantly cheaper than constantly buying single-use ones. Over time, this kit pays for itself while also reducing waste. If you use 1kg propane regularly, this is a must-have tool for you.

Works great.
ONLY usable with the "Fuel Keg" bottles due to the relief valve used, but well worth the price and safer. The only reason I made it 4 stars instead of 5 is that limitation. Buy it !

Fuel Keg refill transfer valve. “Mr Heater”
Works as advertised, follow the instructions prior to use, use safety glasses and gloves in a well ventilated area “ outside” . Saves money, and helps cut down disposal issues with the empty non refillable canisters. RF

Quick, safe and easy to refill the Fuel Keg propane tank.
I bought the Fuel Keg and the Mr. Heater propane refill kit several weeks ago. It could not be easier to fill. From the time I opened the box to filling the tank took a whole 5 minutes. The instructions are clear and easy to read. The refill tank is made from a much heavier gauge metal than the green bottles most people use. The best part it is safe and easy to refill. I have refilled the green bottles before but it is a lot more difficult to do. No one knows how long the green tanks will last.

Works very well.
This works very well with the Mr Heater fuel kegs (only). Quick and easy filling at less than $1 per fill, with no wasteful disposable cylinders to place in the landfill. Also the Fuel Kegs are DOT compliant for transport. What’s not to like?

Worked well!
I've only used it once, to fill 3 Fuel Kegs, but it worked as advertised. I filled from a full 20 lb tank. It filled each of my three 1 lb Fuel Kegs in about 1 min and 17 sec. To get a sense for how much propane is lost from the vent valve (which is kept open during the fill, per instructions), I weighed my 20 lb tank before and after with a digital luggage scale (which I've found to be accurate in that it matched the airline scale). Filling 3 tanks used about 3.3 lbs from the 20 lb tank (so about 1.1 lb to fill a keg). Weighing the tank a 2nd time showed 3.2 lbs used (so the venting loss might be less than 0.1 lbs per Fuel Keg).I weighed my 3 Fuel Kegs before and after filling. They all weighed between 1.9 and 2 lbs empty. The first one I filled weighed 0.9 lbs more after filling (but I stopped filling within a couple seconds after the white mist appeared from the vent). The second and third kegs weighed exactly 1 lb heavier after filling (I filled them a bit longer, waiting for the mist to be more continuous before ending the fill). After removing the Fuel Kegs from the fill apparatus , I made sure each retained its plastic sleeve and o-ring (as other reviews have noted that these can get stuck to the filll nozzle). I also used a brass cap with rubber seal (purchased separately) instead of the pastic cap that comes with the fuel keg. I figure this is an added safe guard in case the Fuel Keg leaks.I tested one of the filled kegs in a "Big Buddy" heater. It fit just fine (allowing the heater door to close) and worked (on low, medium, and high).I got this setup for emergency prep, since I have several of the Buddy indoor-safe propane heaters (in case we can't run our furnace). So I likely won't be able to comment on how it holds up under frequent use, but I'm very satisfied for my purposes. The Fuel Keg seems sturdy and well-constructed.
