If you use this for onion dip, you'll need to also add a ranch dressing packet, and actual chopped up onions. This is onion powder, no salt, no buttermilk, no other flavorings. The texture is also likely to be too smooth for onion dip.

Q: Is this product good to use?

Yes this is one of the best of McCormick's spices. It's not overwhelming and has many other spices in it besides garlic. Great for BBQ rubs, sauces, dressings. My favorite go to spice. When I saw it on Amazon at such a reasonable price I ordered it. It's the best!!!
