Bike 2in1
It already comes pre-assembled, and it's up to you to adapt the way you want to use it. My son is 6 years old and we needed one that was a balance and then he could use it with a pedal, this one was perfect. 16 inches, has adjustments, he will possibly use it until he is 7 years old or more. Excellent product.

Learn to ride bike
Pretty good for the money, the build quality is decent and it's really easy to assemble - took us less than 20 minutes.Comes with a great multi spanner tool for fixing and taking off pedals too, which we've also successfully used on our other kids' bikes! The weight is similar to a 16 inch islabike we have but the tyres on this are much fatter than other kids bikes we have - so will be better to ride on rougher terrain I think.I really like that they've made it so easy to use it without pedals as a balance bike then to put the pedals back on.I think the stabilisers are a bit pointless really as you wouldn't really ever use them if you are using it as a balance bike, as it would be going back a step. The quality isn't the same as some of the higher end makes like the islabike and the paint finish isn't as flashy but this is much cheaper and is still great value for money. I think it's ideal for anyone teaching a kid to ride a bike - this size is probably suitable from age 4 upwards (a tall 3 year old might be ok).

Reasonable... but heavy
Pros - looks good, sturdy, great instructions for assemblyCons - heavy for a 2 1/2 year old, brake lever too far for child to reachI bought the 12" version of this bike, mainly because it is one of the very few budget balance bikes that converts to a pedal bike. Nowhere on this page does it tell you the weight of the bike. I'll tell you - it's 8kg. My toddler's previous balance bike (which I sadly ran over with the car and damaged irreparably - thankfully, not with him on it - I digress) was just over 6kg, so this one turned out to be considerably heavier. This has implications for ease of control and speed - it gains momentum a lot faster going downhill which can be a bit dangerous considering he can't use the brake. The brake lever is too far away from the handle bars for the little fingers of a 2 year old to reach, which is a real shame. Also, because it's weightier, he gets tired quicker when pushing it on the flat - I work around this by attaching a dog lead to the stem and towing him. My son is pretty proficient at balancing on the bike so we are just at the stage of putting the pedals and chain on, fyi - the pedals are difficult to thread onto the cranks, I'm about to get my partner to attempt but it's almost as if the screw part of the pedal is a little too big for the hole in the crank.Oh, interesting feature, the seat for the bike is very chunky and wide, so toddler looks a bit john wayne-esque when riding (legs splayed out). I was skeptical at first but atually, I think this helps with balancing. I reckon it's probably more comfy than a traditional seat too, so, a pro in my eyes. All in all, I'm a little disappointed with the bike. I kind of wish I just saved for another month and invested in a lightweight one but the problem is, the market for 12" pedal bikes is so limited. If you're considering buying the 14" or 16" versions, I'd say - don't. There's so much more choice out there. I would go for a strider if I were you. My son's previous balance bike was a strider and it was great. The only reason I didn't rebuy a strider was because they only do convertible pedal-balance bikes at size 14" (too big for a 2 1/2 year old).

Awesome
I wasn’t sure whether to buy it or not due to there been only one vine review. But I must recommend it to everyone whose kid is transitioning to a pedals bike stage. It’s also quite light weighted. It’s even better than I thought and it comes very quickly and very safely packed. Really impressed. Thanks

Great for growing children who like to ride bikes
My nephew seems to be really enjoying this bike and I have say I think it is pretty good too.The first thing i noticed wast the quality of the parts. Now bearing in mind that it did take me a bit of time to put together, which is why i dropped a star, I found the quality of the pieces pretty good. There are no sharp edges and the colour is great.Another thing i liked was how the images in the instructions were in colour. Sometimes instructions can be hard going and in poor black and white, however this came with excellent guidance on putting things together all in colour. My nephew is finding it really easy use and it seems really comfortable as the seat is soft and the grips are easy to hold. He is too young to take the stablisers off yet so i can only review this with them on. The stabiliser wheels turn simply and are a great help during use.Bike have come a long way and the fact that this bike comes with pneumatic tyres and an integrated wheel hub is really a cool concept to me - lots of tech for kids to ride.Overall a great colour, good parts and my nephew is enjoying it so we are happy.
