It's worth it, its excellent
I was worried abut spending so much on a backpack but after about a week I am so glad I did. It's excellent. I see the reviews about zippers and bottle storage, and there is some truth to the bottle storage issue, it makes it difficult to through a last minute can or shake into the pocket if the main compartment is full, that being said, I don't see it as an issue enough to rate it poorly. I am in school so I toss a couple water bottles into the main compartment with all the other stuff. The only thing I don't absolutely love is how the CCW compartment is between the laptop sleeve and my back, there is quite a lump of pressure in my back when the laptop is in. I wish those were reversed in placement. I love the laptops sleeve, and could see potential use of slipping a steel plate or kevlar if someone was interested.I bought the 23L by mistake, thought I was getting the 27. I am very happy with the 23, it does all I want and it's in a tight, slick package.I'm not sure the purpose of the magnet wings on the main compartment, but it's not in the way. It's a great bag, I am really happy with it.

Excellent CCW Backpack
The best product I’ve gotten from Amazon so far. The bag is durable. There are a lot of pockets for storage, and the best part is the CCW pocket! It sits flush on my back even when I’m carrying. It’s really a great product. My only gripe is that you have to buy the universal velcro holster separately. Other than that, I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Decent appearance.
As far as CCW, it looses a two stars for lack of several considerations. However, it certainly does it's basic job. There isn't a lower pad to protect back rub from CCW pocket. CCW zipper isn't Concealable under a flap or push in pocket. Sides are not wide at the lower back contact area providing a potential adjustment to not have to reach back so far for CCW access. Zippers seem stiff, but I won't take a star for that because I don't know how the zippers and material may hold up. Also I'm not sure how heat resistant any of the material is, and don't see that mentioned anywhere. The material appears to be sturdy, and I certainly hope the zippers are. I would have certainly preferred a double zipper yank down chord, but they zippers are so stiff (possibly for good reason) that it wouldn't work on this model. So I'd rather have a good zipper down the middle, with pop open sides. The entire product does look sort of inconspicuous, and that is it's point I think.

Great Commuter, Campus Bag
This is the fifth Maxpedition product I’ve purchased. I’m a teacher, and this pack is perfect for school. It’s lightweight, but I can carry a 15” laptop inside it with room left over for the charging cable, a book, my planner, plus everyday carry gear in the side pockets. My son’s backpack was stolen a few months back, so I ordered an Entity 23 for him. It’s smaller than the one he lost, but it’s so much lighter. Perfect for the college campus,The Entity is also well suited for a commuter and is certainly not out of place in the office. If you want a good backpacking bag, though, look at Maxpedition’s other lines.

Just the size I need it
I found my Entity 23 just perfect for my every day to commute between home and office. There is enough pockets around to store all my stuff. I am a very big person and was afraid the straps will not fit me but event the waist strap fit me. I love my Maxpedition backpack. The hidden zippers for my CCW are hard to see if you are not familiar with the backpack. May be an additional bag for papers in the laptop section will make even more perfect. My water bottle falls when I put it in the external pockets but I fix it using some bungee cords.

Great bag, but also disappointing
I've owned many Maxpedition bags, and I bought this one shortly after it was released. So I've been using it daily now for about 1 1/2 years. Overall it is an excellent bag. With the Entity series, Maxpedition was trying to go for a more non-tactical look, a "gray man" look. Obviously they've succeeded in that regard. There are plenty of pockets, but they come with some pain as well, see below. Things I like about this backpack:• Love the drawbridge straps that keep the front flap from opening up completely• Love the magnetic ear flaps that keep the top of the front flap from opening• I like the color and non-tactical look of the bagThings I don't like about it:• No padding in the laptop compartment. This is a huge fail! There's no padding at ALL on the bottom of the compartment, so you WILL have a moment of terror when you set your bag down on the ground too hard and hear your laptop whack against the concrete. Seriously, have no idea what Maxpedition is thinking here.• Plenty of pockets, but no dedicated space for them. If you stuff something in a pocket, then it's almost always robbing space from the pocket that's on the other side of the wall. If you want to use one of the outside pockets as a water bottle holder, then you are taking all the space away from the pocket that's INSIDE the bag on the backside of the water bottle pocket. That's a pretty big fail as well in my opinion. The pockets all need more dedicated room to themselves because as it is, if you fill up one, you pretty much can't use another.

Best Backpack For Work
This is probably the best backpack I've owned when it comes to carrying my laptop and things to work. The material is great, and my laptop is well protected. It is a great 'gray man' pack.Couple things I'd change:1. I wish it had a front pocket.2. The side pocket zippers are angled in a way that makes it a little hard to unzip.3. The unzipped pockets in the front aren't so great when the pack is even a little bit full.

My second one
I also have the 21L version. I use these primarily as a carry-on bag while traveling.
