Can I solder this instead of crimp?

Depends on the load. Soldering may work for extremely light loads. I extend my cable across the yard and hook a leash to it for my dog to run back and forth. Soldering would not work for this application. You can always give it a try and test the strength.

What is the working load limit?

About 100 pounds. Breaking strength is 368 lb.

It's stainless steel; several clicks better than galvanized.

Can this be used in a push pull throttle?

If it were in a sleeve that did not allow it to buckle or bend. It might work as a throttle Push Pull
