I started using 2 tablespoons a day when my 2d platelet injection (nPlate) only showed an increase of 2. With the liquid added, the following week it increased by ten, I upped to 3 times daily and within 4 days it went up another 11 points, allowing me to finally have a chemo treatment after 3 months of low platelets and nearly 2 months of expensive drugs and injections. The injections are completed but I will continue to use this product for as long as my blood counts show it is working. Taste is strong but not objectionable. Can dilute it with water for a milder flavor.

helped to boost platelet counts faster than expected

Read that this could/should boost platelets. I have CLL and my platelet count at my last appointment was 90,000. Spleen a bit enlarged. Seeing my oncologist in 3 weeks to determine if I need treatment. Hoping the papaya leaf extract increased my numbers.So I just returned from my oncologist appointment and after taking Papaya Leaf Extract for 7 weeks my platelets went from 87,000 to 94,000. A modest increase but my oncologist said he’s okay with me continuing. Not sure if it’s relatedbut my red blood count increased from 4.12 to 4.28 and my hemoglobin from 12.0 to 12.5. Doctor also said my nodes seems smaller. I’m scheduled to see him again in mid October, hoping my numbers continue to increase.Reporting back again after seeing my oncologist on 9/30/22. My platelets are up again. From 94,000 on 8/18 and 87,000 on 6/9 to 98,000. When I asked if he’s okay with me continuing he said yes. He said he might even consider doing a study. I have Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).My oncologist has retired and I’m now seeing one of his prodigy’s who is not keen on me taking the product. He’s concerned there may be other elements in the product that are potentially not good. The doctor is the #1 CLL doctor in the country. He’s in NYC.Doctor now says he’s okay with me taking . Platelets dropped from 92,000 to 85,000. He said the drop is insignificant and that other results in my blood work compensate for the low platelet count.

I haven't used this long enough to see if my platelet levels have increased but because of the sickly sweet taste I just can't buy another. I do understand that the taste of papaya leaves is bitter but I'd rather get it neat and add a little maple syrup or something.
