So much better than we expected!
This clock is fabulous! It adjusts the time according to radio waves so no messy turning of little dials in the back. It was so easy to set up - put in the single AA battery, leave it next to a window for a few minutes, hang it on the wall! It has accurate time and it is the easiest clock to read of any we've ever owned (we've owned a lot of wall clocks!) The design is simple, clean and modern. We absolutely love it and highly recommend --

Seiko R-Wave Wall Clock Silver Metallic Case
Nice clock, #2 for me and it synced in the PST PACNW zone in under 30 minutes. While not made of gold and silver, it does work well, is easy to read, and in our living room, if it ticks . . . I'm not hearing it. Clock #1 was a gift for a friend.

perfect
Our previous atomic wall clock, by Lacrosse Technologies, lasted just short of two years before the second hand stopped working. The quality of that item was never very impressive. Contrast that with this new Seiko clock. The mechanism in the back is more robust, easier to understand, and this clock synced with the atomic clock in Colorado almost instantly in the middle of the day.Some have complained this Seiko clock ticks loudly; not true. If the room is completely silent, and you strain to hear it, the ticking is detectable but otherwise not at all intrusive. The look is elegant, with silver background and black numbers. Very satisfied.

I'd recommend this if you find it for much cheaper than $50 --- completely made in China and no sweeping seconds
Very classy clock that can fit in with many decor styles. Easy to set up and seems to be doing it's job just fine.Pros:+ Atomic clock synchronization (granted your location can receive the signal)+ Decent battery life, especially when using high-capacity rechargeable cells+ Simple and elegant hands/numeralsCons:- Overpriced (despite being an atomic signal clock, it's completely made in China)- Ticking hands instead of sweeping- Ticking can get noisy; quieter than many clocks I have experience with, but for this price it shouldn't be that loud- "Invisible" seconds hand; no contrast with the dial, so it's almost impossible to see- Manual setting time is done per minute, so it can take a whileVerdict: I would recommend it only if you can find it for much cheaper. Honestly NOT worth what I paid ($51) considering it's ticking, not sweeping, seconds hand and that it's completely made in China.

Seiko Clock
The University of Miami purchased a few of these for our classrooms. They were suppose to synchronize by themselves to the time, and never did. It's important that they self synchronize as we have the time changes throughout the year. I guess they could not get the signal, however the Maple atomic clocks worked perfectly.

Very happy with this Clock.
Aesthetically pleasing clock. Did not auto adjust correct time immediately, but after about 24 hours, has been accurate to the minute, keeping in sync with time on smart phone. Numbers are large enough to view time from a distance but not too big.

Beautiful clock that ticks
The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful clock, for sure.Silver concave background with numbers printed on the inside of the glass creates a very 3 dimensional look.The face is definitely glass and the bezel around the glass is either a glossy plastic or metal, it's hard to tell.The one I received picked up the time signal within 30 seconds and then proceeded to tick, with the seconds hand jumping like a traditional quartz movement instead of the continuous sweep as promised in the description.The ticking noise was soft but more than I'd want for a bedroom.Amazon is sending me a replacement clock and I'll update this review when that one arrives.Update: The second clock that Amazon sent was exactly the same so I'm returning it and looking out for a clock with the "sweep" second hand, possibly something from the Seiko "Space Link" range which receive the time from satellites.

Not well suited for places distant from where the radio signal emanates (e.g. Vermont)
It doesn't seem to pick up the signal from here in Vermont, even in clear weather propped in a window with a clear westerly view. It does, however, after being manually set, keep rather good time. I don't need to reset it at all between changes of daylight savings time. It is a pain to manually set, though, because it only advances forward, and not very quickly.
