Some plastic parts
Very basic, does exactly what it's supposed to. The five settings do differentiate the grind. It is small so it does not hold very muchEasy to use, hand rinse takes a long time to dry.

works well
works well. I accidently bought a bag of whole bean and this was cheaper than buying a new bag of ground coffee

Does the job well for the price
The finer the grind the longer it takes of course. It's great for mindfulness while you wait for the water to boil, just grinding away. Probably good for a brief forearm workout. I have to grind 2 portions for my pour over in a 14 oz cup because I like my coffee deathly strong.I bought this for travel, camping and when the power goes out, which is frequent where I live. I use the medium grind setting #3 and it has some variation in the particles, but makes coffee. I saw a manual grinder for over $300. I'm pretty sure this under $10 is good enough to grind coffee. Whatever nuance you get for the extra $290 is going to be lost on me.

Will be using while camping or traveling
I was surprised to see a hand-cranked coffee grinder at a reasonable price. As a coffee addict, I fear not being able to grind my beans if there is a power failure, so I've been looking for one for a while. Here are the pros and cons of this budget-friendly grinder.Pros: It is compact and is easy to toss in a bag, backpack, or suitcase. You can see in the picture with the scale, it weighs 9.1 oz. The handle pops on and off easily, and you need to pull it off to load the beans. The capacity (liquid) of the cup that catches the grinds is 2.5 oz. What you put in the top is the same volume that comes out the bottom - they cleverly matched the sizes. It took a few minutes to grind a full hopper, but it wasn't difficult. The handle only spins clockwise, but otherwise is not oriented for a lefty or righty. One full hopper will make just enough coffee for 2 Aeropress cups. The cons: The grinding surfaces appear to made of white plastic. So while it gets the job done well, I am not expecting a long life. Given the force, I have doubts about it remaining sharp for any duration. Also, make sure you put down a towel or cloth napkin under it when you grind so as not to scratch your counters. The little cup is easy to wash but the grinding part is not. I need a pipe cleaner to get the bits out and there will still be coffee dust left. Also, if you aren't careful, you will accidentally rotate the grind size to 5 while grinding. You need to hold it steady to keep the grind size from shifting mid-grind.While ideally I'd like to always hand- because it uses less energy and isn't as loud as the electric kind, this isn't a daily use grinder. I'll keep this one for travel and for camping. If you are just looking for something to use occasionally, you will be happy with this one because it is inexpensive. But if you want something for every day, prepare to pay.
