Q: Does this camera take videos and if it does how long of a video does it take?

Yes, it does take videos.! And the longest (So Far) video that my Husband took was about 38 Minutes long.! And it still has plenty of memory left..!! ☺

I got about 500-600 pictures without flash

Yes, Absolutely... I actually just did a photo shoot for one of my friends, she just had a new baby.. So to answer your question... Yes, it takes Fantastic Baby pictures..!! 😀

Q: Does this do well with moving subjects? I want to use this to take pictures of my kids being active, but I don't want to deal with blurry images.

As with all cameras it depends on how much light you have available. If outside at a baseball game on a sunny day you will have no problem. I have even taken some pictures inside a auditorium with low light, telephoto and the result was good of subjects that were not moving but blurred for moving subjects. Takes as good as my old 35mm Nikon with a 3.8 lens and Kodacolor 200 film.
