What is the usage for the detachable flap?

Well, the neck and back massager has 3 massage intensities and 3 heating levels, I love the high, then I found it feels a little intense so I use the detachable flap to soothing massage intensity. It does a great job! Moreover, you can cover it on to prevent the massage pillow from dust accumulation.

Does the size fit well?

Perfectly! I bought the massager for my mom and it fits my mom’s neck curve perfectly. The size is 15.7×12.6×4.3 inch.

Does the kneading nodes go into the upper back/ shoulder blade area?

Depending on where you position the massager when you use it, YES, it will go to the upper back/shoulder blade area. I use it for my lower back, however, the friend who recommended it to me uses it for his upper back/shoulder blade area. He just puts it on his sofa higher up, and it works perfectly! Enjoy!!!
