Q: What are the blade specs? We know its 4.5" but what is the center hole size?

The arbor hole is 3/8" which makes the blades harder to find at the local hardware store. There is no adapter included, but also note that Dewalt clearly states not to use abrasive blades as that could overheat the motor.

Q: What are the main differences between this and let's say the 7 1/4 inch circular saw? The cut depths are not that different.

It barely cuts through 2x lumber (1-9/16) that's only a 1/16 over the depth of 2x lumber, so I don't use it for that, personally. It's a wonderful "grab and go" saw for 1x material and sheet goods. I'm a homeowner weekend warrior user, so I'm not using it daily. But, so far it's cut through everything well and you can easily use it with one hand. I also have the 7-1/4 saw and use it when I cut 2x material as it will cut 1 inch deeper.

Q: What's the part number for a compatible dust bag?

A dust port is included to connect to a vacuum. The port part number is N594300

Q: can i use the dewalt battery from my cordless drill to power this saw?

Yes, if the battery of your cordless drill is 20v also. Batteries of all 20v tools, I believe, can be used to power any other 20v cordless tools.
