Sturdy Earth friendly product!
I love these trash bags! They fit conveniently and snuggly in my can (while other similar style brands are too tight and tear when placing). Very durable for a biodegradable product! I have them on my subscription plan so I never run out!

One Year Review: Durable and Compostable
I was initially hesitant to purchase plastic-alternative trashbags fearing they would compare in utility and strength. It was also greatly discouraging to hear that most "compostable" plant-based polymer bags likely are destined to the same longevity as plastic because 1) they can only break down in an industrial composting facility which is not available and 2) many landfills are too deprived of oxygen to facilitie decomposition of anything. This however turned out to be greatly misleading after talking directly to my local landfill operations. Trash is sufficiently aerated by mixing or is not compacted for a period long enough to allow these bags to break down.I had lightly buried a bag and will update this review as it decomposes. My first attempt, which I unfortunately did not document, did disintegrate greatly in about 7 months. These Green Earth bags have never leaked or broke on me. I use these in two different households and have used 200 between them in one years time. If you leave them in a bin too long (about 4 days) they "sweat" a bit of condensation on the bottom but now I add a paper towel underneath just in case. It is certainly worth the switch. I am more at ease knowing I no longer directly support the plastic bag industry.

Will recommend this product to everyone!
It works really well. It's strong and does the job. It does decompose, if you placed it outside on the grass with stuff inside, like dirt, and the temperature is high.

Very nice bags with a caveat
I do like the quality of these bags. I used the first one in my kitchen trash can and made sure not to pack it, and it held up pretty well.I did the same with the second one, but it split on the side, possibly a cut from an egg shell or something else. I tried again to be very careful, but ended up having to bag inside a regular bag.I am very excited about compostable and biodegradable products on the market, and will always find a use for these, but may look for a stronger bag.I still think these are great bags, and don't want to discourage anyone from buying them. You may have a completely different experience, and remember you can use these for just about anything, and with good conscience.I cannot express how good it feels to use products I know won't still be polluting 50-70 years from now. Mind-blowingly awesome.

Actually Compostable
There are a lot of green trash bags that advertise they’re compostable while they actually aren’t, BUT THESE ARE! I get them in all sizes for various cans around my home. Just be careful to not dump a lot of liquids them, or they’ll start to break down before you can take them out to the trash cart.

Perfect size and fairly sturdy
We use them in the kitchen and these bags have a little more 'stretchiness' and don't seem to tear as easily as the thin plastic ones. They will start to bio-degrade after about a month if left with a lot of wet stuff, so probably not a good product for outside garbage that doesn't get emptied frequently. They also seem a little taller (not sure), so when we pull them out of the container the garbage doesn't fall out if we filled it to the rim.

Great Bags That Don't Hurt the Environment
My wife and I are very conscience about introducing plastic into the environment. So, we decided to go with these bags as they are compostable. We got two boxes of 100 13 gal bags for the kitchen. After a year we still haven't used them all. We live in the county without house-by-house garbage service, so we have to take our trash and recyclables to the refuse depot. So far, we have not had any problem with leaks or the bags being ripped open. However, since they are designed to be compostable, they are not real thick, not designed to hold real heavy stuff, and are subject to small punctures, but, perfect liners for our 13 gal kitchen trash and recyclable bins. Recommended. A

Weak and virtually USELESS
Not worth the effort. There is another brand, more expensive, that also claims to be compostable (dark green) but it's MUCH more durable and actually USEABLE.This is NOT USEABLE.This WILL TEAR with very little force or effort.Zero elasticity. I can only use this with dry, soft, light garbage lightly packed, making sure nothing sharper than a folded paper corner is poking out. This tears even when trying to pull along the perforated cut/tear lines - especially if you tear at any angle at all (so if you're stuck with this product like me... pull straight <---> holding as close the perforation as possible. Do NOT allow the separation to be pulled at an angle (i.e., if separating along the perforated line, be sure to adjust grip along the line so there is NO angular force - I found the best bet was to bunch it up in my fist a couple inches each side of perforation and do a quick, strong tug).DO NOT BUY.I unfortunately bought a bunch I've been stuck with for years...
